Winter Hill Skills Course
This course is the ideal course for the summer walker who would like to continue walking throughout the year.
Working in a small group with your instructor you will cover topics such as:
- Additional equipment required in winter
- How to carry and use an ice axe
- How to fit and use crampons
- Understand weather and avalanche forecasts, how they affect you
- Navigation and safe travel in winter mountains

If the dates we have advertised are not suitable, or you are looking for something different? Or maybe you have a group of friends all looking for a day out? Are you looking to climb a classic route?
Then why not hire your own qualified instructor for the day or longer...........
These Bespoke days can be created to best suit your aims, aspirations and selected to meet the best available conditions.
